Our Technology

Using the latest laser technology, we can complete your project with the highest precision, consistency and quality.

Laser Etch Technologies has 5 CO2 laser systems available for production. Four of the systems were built by Kern Laser of Wadena, MN. The 5th system is a shop built galvo scanner with a 100 watt laser. We have a wide range of laser powers and table sizes available.  Ranging from 24"x48" up to 60"x120" and power from 60 watts to 400+ watts.

Laser System #1

48"x48" range of movement.
Laser power: 60 watts.
Cuts up to 3/8" thick acrylic.

Laser System #2
This system has 2 lasers over the laser bed which allows the work area to be divided up and produce items twice as fast as a single head system.
24"x48" range of movement.
Laser power: 150 watts X2.
Cuts up to 3/4" thick acrylic.

Laser System #3
This is one of Kern's HSE (High Speed Engraving) models, capable of laser cutting and engraving.
Engraving speeds up to 150 inches per second can be achieved with fine detail.
3-D simulated images can also be efficiently produced using Kern's imaging technology.
51"x100" range of movement.
Laser power: 150 watts.
Cuts up to 3/4" thick acrylic.

Laser System #4
This is also a Kern HSE model. It has the same capabilities of our System #3, but with added range of movement and a higher power laser. This allows faster cutting with the same results as the other laser systems. This model was purchased with the metal cutting enhancements.
60" x120" range of movement.
Laser power: 400+ watts.
Cuts 1" thick acrylic,  3/16" cold rolled steel and 1/8" stainless steel.

Laser System #5
With a galvo scanning laser system, the laser beam is directed through a special lens by pair of mirrors to achieve the X-Y co-ordinates.
This is the fastest method to produce simple line drawings and letter labeling.
9"x9" range of movement within the galvo field of view.
Laser power: 100 watts.
